Took today off of work to go xmas shopping with DW for the kids last few stocking fillers. Except we aren't doing that at all I have been duped into shopping for accessories for her party outfit. She is in the chain rooms now trying stuff on. The pub is about 6 doors down from here.

What are you doing posting on here?

Run as fast as you can to the pub.

Maybe say you are off to get the stocking fillers and will meet her in the pub afterwards? Get the fillers quickly and proceed as planned.

Is she looking for diamond type stuff?

If so, get to the pub and explain that your were just there for De Beers

Update, went to pub and only got away with it by
a - telling her everything she'd bought looked great and
b - ensuring the barman was briefed to pour a large glass of wine on on her arrival.
