To poison the chocolates at work (lighthearted)

We get quite lot of chocolate at this time of year, some from suppliers and some from customers. They get put behind reception for us all to share. We have two receptionist who work part time one of them does two days hours over three days, she is in a huff because we got chocolates on a day she wasn't in and by the time she was in they had all gone, so to make up for it she has eaten half a tub of chocolates yesterday and today has taken her 'share' from another tub we got today. AIBU to poison them ?

I have still not forgiven a former housemate for eating all (and I do mean all) the soft centres out of the tub of quality street I bought for the whole house to share. It was about 20 years ago.

You and I should really let it go, shouldn't we?

Why not ask her if she would like to count the number of chocs in each box and divvy them up between staff, preferably on a pro-rata basis to reflect number of hours worked by each employee. She may realise then she's being ridiculous.

I've still not forgiven FIL for eating all the strawberry creams from 2 tubs of chocolates whilst I was working christmas Eve. I got home to him and DH talking and DH mouthed 'sorry' whilst FIL with a smug look on his face said 'aren't these your favourites' and handed me the wrappers to put in the bin

One of the best ever things my DH did on a related situation was to send an email round which began quite seriously about finding evidence of night time visitations from mice in the office (this did really happen occasionally!)

His last paragraph was something like 'But fear not! In order to control the infestation of our little mousie friends, I have been putting small amounts of rat poison in (Bob's) cereal that he keeps on his desk for a few days, so I anticipate they won't be with us for much longer'.

I would adapt this once D Colleague has been feeding her face for a while.

Well at my work if you went out for lunch and a box of chocs came in you'd be lucky if they'd saved you a coffee cream when you got back. They're like vultures on a carcass.

Every (wo)man for himself and all that. Are you all meant to abstain on the days she doesn't work? Sod that.

Poor woman, that chocolate is so important to her that she must have her fair share.
She must not have access to chocolate outside of the workplace.

I used to be a Department Manager.
Every year I would buy a couple of tins of Quality Street for the office. I would also buy each staff member a small gift each as well as participate in Secret Santa.
The only sweet I ever ate was the green triangle. Everyone knew this. I didn't claim them all as mine but when the tin was passed around it was the only one I took.
One year they all thought it was hilarious to remove all the green triangles from both tins. I didn't pass any remark as they laughed and tittered when I searched for the triangles.
Every year after, I just bought a pack of extra large green triangles and kept them all to myself, no sharing.
How I laughed at their chocolate starved incredulous faces watching me eat my green triangles.
They never ever bought me a token gift at Christmas. Not even the woman I gave a lift home to every evening. They were the meanest group of people I ever worked with.
I need to let go too, don't I?

Half a tub of chocolates in the course of a working day! You don't need to do anything to get revenge except leave them there and let here gorge herself sick.

That's just mean ThirdPoliceman. What horrible colleagues you had.

In my workplace (hospital) it's just deemed bad luck if you're not there when a colleague / patient leaves an edible treat. I can't believe people actually have time at work to get into petty arguments about chocolates. I'm lucky sometimes if I get time to pee during a shift ahh the joys of nursing.

When I was 9, I had my tonsils removed and stayed over night in hospital. The surgeon suggested that chewing gum was good after the surgery as the constant swallowing would help healing.

My stupid sister (2 years my senior) had gone into my night stand and stolen/chewed all 5 packs my mother had purchased for me. Mother bought the same for her so she wouldn't be jealous.

33 years later, and I am still holding a grudge.
