Freaking out about fast eye sight deterioration

Sorry not Aibu posting for traffic!

Had a yearly eye test today and I've got to go for a blood test for my sugars because my eye sight has deteriorated so much since last December

May have to go back to the eye hospital again aswell depending on what the gp thinks (I've already been in March because last eye test they found a freckle behind my eye)

Has anyone else's vision got quite a lot worse in a short time?

I've got health anxiety so I'm well and truly stressed out tonight

One of my worst fears is going blind.

First things first, figure out what's causing it and take care of that to make sure it doesn't get worse. Then when you get that stabilized, you can probably look into things like lasik eye surgery.

Just focus on one step at a time to solve the problem.

I thought it was but I think it was because I was wearing my glasses all the time which made my eyesight seem worse when I took them off...the glasses made me realise how bad it was iyswim.

I also have health anxiety...and my eyes are a particular source of worry for me so I know what it's like.
