A slag is unacceptable, especially coming from a grown woman?

Who happens to be your daughters boyfriends mother Angry

Lookslikeimstuckhere · 04/12/2014 16:35

I think that's unacceptable too. What a cow. She's best off out of that relationship!

Bowlersarm · 04/12/2014 16:35

Yep, not good OP. what happened?

MarchEliza · 04/12/2014 16:42

Bad. Really bad. (YANBU)

ChoochiWoo · 04/12/2014 16:46

why is she calling her a slag? did she cheat on her son?

usualsuspectsparkly3 · 04/12/2014 16:50

It's unacceptable to call any woman or girl a slag.

WooWooOwl · 04/12/2014 16:51

It's not very nice, but when I was 15 there there were a lot of girls around who were indeed slags given the meaning of the word.

You might be better off concentrating on your dds relationship and the reasons for there being animosity between herself and her boyfriends mother rather than focussing on the use of the word slag.

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle · 04/12/2014 16:51

Totally out of order.

Whereisegg · 04/12/2014 16:52

Yanbu Shock How do you know she said it?

Pumpkinpositive · 04/12/2014 16:53

Of course it's wrong.

But you haven't given any background to this story, so no one can say exactly how wrong.

usualsuspectsparkly3 · 04/12/2014 16:56

Just the girls who were slags then, Woo?

madsadbad · 04/12/2014 16:57

My language is terrible, but I hate and don't use words such as slag, slut etc.
Any person calling a person them is a nobber, but an adult calling a child them is sickening.

madsadbad · 04/12/2014 16:58

Of course usual you know them lads, just being lads, sewing their seeds, doing what lads do...Hmm

PortofinoVino · 04/12/2014 17:00

She's best off out of that relationship! said Lookslike.

Why? He may be a perfectly respectable, hard working lad, who has managed to drag himself out in a good way despite his mother Confused

lem73 · 04/12/2014 17:04

There is no need to hear a background story. It's an unacceptable word used to judge women for their behaviour made even worse when there exists no male equivalent.
I suspect this was just hurled at the op's dd as a casual insult rather than having a basis.

DoJo · 04/12/2014 17:05

Stony waste matter? Or girls who had sex? And what about the boys they were having sex with?

squoosh · 04/12/2014 17:12

It's never reasonable to use the word 'slag' against any female.

Her boyfriend may be lovely but at only 15 years of age she's better off out of a relationship where she has to deal with a person like his mother.

SlimJiminy · 04/12/2014 17:20

YANBU. Never an acceptable word.

AnonButRegular · 04/12/2014 17:22

There was an argument between the bf and his family. Dd was on the phone to him, his mother said he had to get off the phone because dd is "just some fucking slag"

OP posts:
AnonButRegular · 04/12/2014 17:24

Nope, dd is not cheating on him and has not cheated on him. They spend every spare moment together and clearly love each other - she'd do anything for him.

He spends so much time here, I treat him like my own, he's a lovely boy.

OP posts:
Whereisegg · 04/12/2014 17:25

Shock Angry Bloody hell op!
is your dd ok? Sad

AnonButRegular · 04/12/2014 17:25

Dd is really upset

OP posts:
AnonButRegular · 04/12/2014 17:27

I think PortoFino hit the nail on the head - he's lovely, polite, respectful, helpful, is brilliant with dd. I have no qualms about him.

OP posts:
Lookslikeimstuckhere · 04/12/2014 17:27

squoosh has explained my point for me, thank you!

I am willing to change my view if it turns out he defended her to his Mother. Although I still maintain she would be best off out of the situation OP has described, given her age.

LadyLuck10 · 04/12/2014 17:27

She sounds absolutely vile. She wasn't even thereShock i would be fuming!

Whereisegg · 04/12/2014 17:28

Well his mum has done a great job of pushing her son towards your family.
