Roy G Biv. Easy. yanbu.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 04/12/2014 11:07

Richard of York gave battle in vain clearly never featured in their education then! I'm not that much older than Katie.

SavoyCabbage · 04/12/2014 11:07

Yanbu. Or as cbeebies would say nubay.

ZingOfSeven · 04/12/2014 11:09

I didn't know the acronym till I came to UK but I knew the right order since I was 5.

just want to colour their faces in with Sharpies. that would teach themAngry

Richard of York gave battle in vain!

Everyone knows this. Sigh. It doesn't even make sense but it serves a purpose.

Similarly; my very early morning jam sandwich usually nauseate people, for the planets.

Tanith · 04/12/2014 11:13

The Rainbow song on Show Me Show Me, although verbally correct, has Violet child before Indigo child.

Unless they've corrected it since I last saw it.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 04/12/2014 11:18

Grin. It will just have to nauseate. Not people.

TiggyD · 04/12/2014 11:19

I refuse to acknowledge the colour "Indigo".

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 04/12/2014 11:20

It was when I got taught that. It's not now. Poor Pluto.

TiggyD · 04/12/2014 11:20

I checked on Pluto recently and it's still a planetoid.

WerewolfBarMitzvah · 04/12/2014 11:20

Mm I've never heard the Richard of York thing.

juneybean · 04/12/2014 11:21

I was taught my very elderly mother just sat upon nine pins ... Before Pluto was ousted

ZingOfSeven · 04/12/2014 11:21

Both wrong. It's 'My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets'. Wink

Poor Pluto. :(

As for cbeebies. Think they all need to go back to school.

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 04/12/2014 11:23

My one is the only one that makes sense if you omit Pluto.

I seem to remember reading a few years ago that 'they' did away with indigo and violet and just called it purple. It was something to do with somebody wanting 7 colours in the rainbow because 7 is a special number but there are only 6.

CBeebies worst crime is 'goodbye sun, hello moon' every sodding day.

The moon does not only come out at night. Angry
