To REALLY hate prerecorded phone calls

It's so bloody rude. If they want us to buy their stuff, they can at least take the trouble to speak to us in person, no?

And the one I had yesterday was the worst yet - it started with 'Hi.' Sorry, but I don't know you from Adam. Who are you to address me with 'Hi'?

What makes it worse is that every phone call might be the one from my mum, telling me my dad is worse. I don't need the stress.

I don't know, Scholes. I don't think IABU. I was prepared to be told that this is just the way business works, people have to make a living, all that. We're on TPS, but it makes little difference.

I just hang up. No idea what they're marketing but if they can't be arsed to have a real person call, I can't be arsed to listen.
