To wish threads were not allowed to get deleted?

I just think its a waste of time. A thread gets deleted and then more threads start asking - what happened to "said thread"?

And some contain good advice that even though the initial post was fake some other people could be experiencing a similar problem.

I think they should just be locked so no one can comment on them.

(Obviously there was exceptions - racism, violence, threat to someones safety)

YABU. MN would end up full of old trolly threads and also full of threads with too much personal info on.

You can't suggest that they're "not allowed" to be deleted! All sits with decent safety standards have this capability.
