Poor DH is stuck on the hard shoulder, highways agency, DH and I all calling RAC for last 90 minutes. Emailed, texted service for the death no response on any of them. Highways agency say that they'll tow him in 30 minutes for a whopping 160 quid what are my odds of being reimbursed by rac?

That's horrendous!

They'll have to reimburse you I would have thought.

Try tweeting the RAC. Big companies like this have dedicated Twitter staff and the moment someone tweets an issue like yours they tend to deal with it swiftly as it's terrible publicity.

You would think the highways agency would have a direct line to all the breakdown companies.

Having just joined twitter they finally started answering their phones, been down since 4am apparently. Hopefully they'll be with him soon. Thanks.
