He's only on the line for a few seconds, but then he (Noel E) comes out with a long spiel of what the banker has just said

The banker only exists in Noel's crazy mind.
He has always given me the creeps. How his name hasn't come up, iykwim, I'll never know.

You can "Hear" him on the phone sometimes.... it must be a producer or such trying to save the show as much Monet as possible.

I think there is a production member on the line that says ''offer this, or that'' and Noel makes up the rest.

I can see it's just a bit of fun, but the contenstants seem to believe the person is real.

Do the counters have magnetic properties? Is there a little man running back and forth behind the machine 'encouraging' the counters one way or another.

I thought the banker was revealed as the bloke who used to be in Corrie, he is now the main producer.
