AIBU to complain to DS school?

DS is in year six. His school does wake and shake every morning and one of the songs they use is Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines'

I personally don't think this should be used. AIBU?

There are no words to articulate how much I despite that song and video. YANB however it may the case they are not aware of the song's central theme

Tobagostreet · 05/11/2014 21:41

YANBU!

Complain.

duckbilled · 05/11/2014 23:13

YANBU it is so inappropriate Shock

Gusthetheatrecat · 05/11/2014 23:15

YANBU. Complain. Maybe take a 'perhaps you weren't aware what this song is about' stance, though.

middlings · 05/11/2014 23:16

Yadnbu. It's revolting, complain.

Hmmmwhatnow · 05/11/2014 23:18

YANBU but they won't be aware so go gentle. DSIS was using a song for her tidy up time at school and was completely oblivious to the fact it was about blow jobs. She was mortified!

Shock

This is the same Blurred Lines song with 'I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two?'

Shock Shock Shock

I am REALLY Shock

Complain, really. That's awful.

motherofmonster · 05/11/2014 23:20

Yanbu... We have pharell Williams happy at our school...much less offensive

CromerSutra · 05/11/2014 23:21

Really?!!! Ugh! I am shocked. That is an extremely poor choice and Yanbu to complain.
