To be a little cheesed off at the difference in responses?

I recently put a post on a FB buy & sell page asking for a motorbike.

I got responses from 2 people, one advertising a bike and another from someone else wanting to buy it!

Several other people have posted similar posts asking for bikes on the same page and been inundated with responses, one had 26! Lots of messages from people saying things like 'well done for getting riding mate' etc. in addition to lots of offers of bikes complete with pictures.

I'm was just a bit irked that I had hardly any responses and yet all the others did and I couldn't help feeling like it might have been because they were all young men and I'm not :/

I was asking for the exact same thing, willing to pay money (some of them werent , just wanted to swap for stuff), why isn't my cash good enough? Ok it could be that they all knew each other but really, all of them?

Aibu or am I being over sensitive :D I'm really trying to buy a bike and no one is interested in selling me one!

If it's anything like the local fb selling for groups near me, they move really quickly and it's pot luck if your post will get seen by people who might be interested/able to help. I really don't think it's something to take personally - maybe just bump your post and see if you get some more responses.

I did post on two different occasions though, in two different but similar groups - I know what you mean though, but it just seems that normally the 'I want to buy something' posts are usually jumped on really quickly!
