AIBU to suddenly feel overwhelmed?

We are moving on Wednesday. Some 70 miles away from home (my home, DH already lives 60 miles away from his family). We are embarking on an adventure with the beach as our back garden and a whole new life (and way of life) awaits us. We have one DD who has complex disabilities and is home educated so we are used to all being together a lot and being a bit different to the 'norm' but I am suddenly, terrified. I'm sure it's normal as a parent to move and feel worried about losing the familiarity of routine/family around the corner etc but please tell me that last minute nerves are ok and that I shouldn't call it off? I love the house. Want the change of life. Know it is best for our family. It's just new and different but that's ok, too right? I am panicked and no amount of tea is helping Hmm

Last minute nerves are obligatory. It'll be fine.

We had a huge amount of moves during our working lives & I always had a moment of panic just before every move.

Quite normal - I bet you'll be posting how much you love your new home in a few weeks.

And 70 miles is not that far from your family.

If you weren't nervous about it you'd be making an ill thought out decision!

So sing...

Whenever I feel afraid
I whistle a happy tune
And ev'ry single time
The happiness in the tune
Convinces me that I'm not afraid

And then enjoy the move. Good luck!
