Just got rid of the Witches' Fingers and now, aaaargh! I see a plate of tarantulas!!
AIBU to shudder? I have a rampant spider phobia!
(In truth, I think they're fun, and might make some, plus fingers, for Hallowe'en, when all the village children come to our door.)

How many times did you hit submit? Grin

Do you not like them?

Hatespiders · 24/10/2014 09:05

No I'm ashamed to say, I don't. We took down our curtains yesterday for washing and a gigantic you-know-what scuttled out. I screamed the place down. (Husband is used to this, the poor man)
But I do like these for the children, I just won't look at them. I'll hand out the fingers and he can deal with the spiders.

Good grief! I only pressed 'control and esc the once. like it said. I've never started a thread before. Gulp! A prefect will now report me to the Headmistress and I'll get detention! Sorry everyone. Can all these be removed somehow??

Just noticed the fingers have gone...thank op for wishing them away....but no spiders yet. Something to not look forward to. Why cant they do nice pumpkins with happy smily faces or something...

londonrach · 24/10/2014 09:16

See the spiders..they look like something a child makes so not as bad as the fingers.... Op go directly to the headmasters office.... Grin. Seriously there must be a way of hiding them for the spider challenged.

OwlWearingSunglasses · 24/10/2014 09:16

thought the spiders are cute

Loving the multiple posts Grin

hiddenhome · 24/10/2014 09:22

This isn't fair because MNHQ put warnings on my spider threads and everyone has a go at me for posting photos, yet there's pics of halloween spiders up? Hmm

Hatespiders · 24/10/2014 09:34

Even though they're obviously not realistic, it's the bent-upward legs that make me cringe. Ugh. My class every year used to tease me with plastic spiders tucked in my register or on my chair. I was a nervous wreck by Christmas.

PrettyPictures92 · 24/10/2014 10:12

I thought it was a tech glitch, I reported the others (not as trolling, I did say I thought it was a glitch! Pity MNHQ getting all those reports about the different threads).

Next time just click post once? Grin

PrettyPictures92 · 24/10/2014 10:12

Oh, didn't report to be mean btw, just to get the excess ones taken down :)

Weelass83 · 24/10/2014 10:16

It freaks me out every time I scroll down a page...even though I know they're not real.......if I press the play button on it, will they come crawling out of my screen!?

You are definitely NOT BU.

They give me the creeps.

TiggerLillies · 24/10/2014 10:19

Not unreasonable, I hide people on FB that post photos of spiders! Don't suppose we can report the photo?

Hatespiders · 24/10/2014 10:51

I don't really want the photo removed, I'm just saying I'm a total wimp with this. I can't expect the world to revolve around my spider phobia!

In Tesco's yesterday there were some gigantic hairy ones on a display as you go in. My poor dh was bracing himself, but I managed to behave myself.

(had a bloody horrible dream about spiders last night too)

isseywithcats · 24/10/2014 12:08

i dont like spiders but i think these ones on here are cute

weeblueberry · 24/10/2014 16:31

Honestly misread the title and am a bit sad it's not the name of the sequel to the best film of all time. Sad

Hatespiders · 24/10/2014 17:17

Fluffy, it's funny you should say that, because if I've seen spiders on TV or elsewhere (those in Tesco's for example) I have a dream during that night. It's always the same nightmare, a giant spider ON MY PILLOW. Right by my head. Looking straight at me. I wake up screaming in abject terror. I've had to explain to our lovely neighbours, who can hear the screams, that my dh isn't beating me, it's just nightmares. Feel a right fool. And poor dh. He's so patient.

fluffyraggies · 24/10/2014 17:25

Oh god that sounds awful Shock

I don't often have bad dreams and even less often dream of spiders, but my dream last night was that i had a huge lump on my thigh that became transparent. And bubbly. Gradually i cold see that in the lump was a great big spider! aarrrggghhh! All grey brown and lively.

It disturbed me so much that i couldn't get back to sleep all night, and have had to tell DH about it this afternoon to 'break' the dream.

yuk
