I only came back from holiday on Wednesday!

Thursday I had two conservatives on the doorstep, today it's been labour.

I've had phone calls from the conservatives, labour and UKIP and most disturbingly of all Nigel Farage was apparently in the co-op at the weekend.

AIBU to think none of them give a shiny shit about the residents of Rochester and Strood and should fuck off back to Westminster and stop harassing me?

Aint no fucker cares to come and speak to me about my political opinions, I feel left out Grin

Have yourself a day trip to Rochester, you can't go more than 10ft without having a clipboard waved at you.

Fecking by-election Angry

You only have a few more months until the general, the only party that have ever been to my house were UKIP- I got my non British husband to answer the door and only speak to them in his language , hehe.
I should have props by the door, so I can put on an act for any unwanted visitors.

thisusernameisunavailable · 20/10/2014 15:07

I meant to add accent near to the British

CatThiefKeith · 20/10/2014 15:15

I am genuinely worried UKIP will win. Even Dave has been here in the last week. Surely the streets wouldn't be crawling with politicians unless they thought there was an actual danger that UKIP might win the seat?

How would that even work? A UKIP MP I mean? It is a very multicultural area.

Part of me thinks no way it would really happen, but I don't think its something that should be ignored as a possibility definitely.
The thing I don't get, someone saying the would vote for a party based on one thought process in this case immigration, people don't seem to know about any other policies- so we are going to chuck the pesky forriners out, what do UKIP say about education/NMW/benefits/workers rights etc etc.
I find that even more scary that people would vote without thinking all those things through.

CatThiefKeith · 20/10/2014 15:37

Exactly. Apart from the furriners and getting out of Europe, what else are their policies?

Mark Reckless upset a lot of people over planning as a conservative though, so hopefully that will go against them.

Blimey, Harriet Harman was apparently in town today too. They must be worried!

I can honestly say this has never happened to me. I've also never had one of those phone calls from "Microsoft" even though it seems everyone else has. I feel left out.

CatThiefKeith · 20/10/2014 19:56

Unfortunately my MP has just defected to UKIP, which has triggered a by election next month.

The government appears to be worried that we will go the same way as Clacton, which is why the streets here are crawling with MP's and canvassers. HmmHmmHmm
