Just had a missed call from a mobile number, rang it back immediately and someone answered. I said I just had a missed call from you and he said
"yeah I have 2 small packages for you and wonder if you want me to leave them somewhere", I then replied "I'm indoors, can you just not deliver them" and he replied that he would see me in a minute.

No delivery? No-one parked outside? I am not actually expecting anything.

I'd actually just 20 minutes before this call had a package I was expecting delivered?

WTF is this all about?

I'm home alone with my 2yo and I am 6 months pregnant, feeling a bit uneasy.

What to do?

Hold that thought.... for about 5 minutes. You may have another delivery.

Check out of the windows... it will be OK. Or a wrong number/delivery call.

ConfusedintheNorth · 20/10/2014 13:32

Was the number from a mobile or a landline? If it's a landline gogle it and see if it brings up a deliver firm.

Nicknacky · 20/10/2014 13:34

I would phone back and clarify.

helpmekeepstrong · 20/10/2014 13:36

He has a list of addresses and numbers. Having delivered your parcel and on his way to his next delivery, he dialled your number by mistake instead of the next customer's which would have been on the next line down to yours. (Does that make sense - it doesn't read very well.)

crazykat · 20/10/2014 13:36

It could be a wrong number. Its very easy to transpose numbers or press the wrong number by mistake. Also if you've already had a delivery today they could be trying to contact the next person on their list but rang you by mistake.

Ring back and clarify which company they work for and ask what name is in their delivery.

LuckyLopez · 20/10/2014 13:39

Are you usually so anxious?

youareallbonkers · 20/10/2014 13:39

Why are you uneasy?

helpmekeepstrong · 20/10/2014 13:40

crazycat same thought, but clearly described, unlike my post! (Bit tired today) Grin

Vitalstatistix · 20/10/2014 13:40

Are you expecting another package or was the one you had the only one you're due?

It is likely that if it is a delivery person, they have rung the wrong mobile number.

Did you ask them to confirm which delivery address they had or company they were from?

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 20/10/2014 13:41

Wrong number I expect, I agree the guy who had delivered your parcel was planning the next drop off on his route.

Nelehwelly · 20/10/2014 13:41

Do you have a specific reason for being concerned about this? Most people would chalk it up to a wrong number, so is there a reason why you suspect this is something more worrying?

Mammanat222 · 20/10/2014 13:48

Nope I am not usually anxious / uneasy... Just found it a bit odd?

Giving it some logical thought I am sure it's exactly as help and crazykat have said.

Mobile number brings nothing up and it's now going straight to VM.
