I was responding to a thread about what you and your baby do all day

And I wrote this

I have a 19 month old we dance mostly and eat fruit mainly tinned

She also likes to stroll up and down the trough lounge with her empty Pram while I hold the baby on my lap and me and the doll watch she really hates play groups

And reading this back is this really strange

Sounds a bit like a horror film, yes.

But if you guys are enjoying yourselves then carry on.

ThatBloodyWoman · 17/10/2014 22:54

Sounds reasonably standard to me -with the addition of eating pretend food and having your heart listened to at regular intervals....

CherryDolphin · 17/10/2014 22:55

Who cares if it's strange? As long as you're enjoying yourself.

Thefishewife · 17/10/2014 22:55

Yes it sounds a bit creep when I read it back oh dear

We do have a lot of fun she just hates play groups and I thought I best to go with what she likes rather than take her to group were she cries to leave

But, yes, the way its written does sound a bit macabre...!

Dancing a lot - great
Tinned fruit all the time - full of sugar will wreck her teeth - she needs a more varied diet. Is she still having milk? If not it's far from a healthy diet.
Strolling up and down with her pram while you watch with baby and doll - fine
she really hates play groups - you need adult company and it will be good for her to start mixing with other children. Would be good to fit one or two a week into your routine. Maybe seek out a couple of other mums with quiet, reserved children and meet up sometimes.

But not weird (or wired Wink )Smile

WorraLiberty · 17/10/2014 22:58

I think if any of use typed out the little things we do with our kids/other family members, it might sound weird.

But who cares? You're both enjoying yourselves aren't you?

For the record, I didn't bother with play groups for any of my 3. They just went to the nursery attached to the school when they turned three years old.

WorraLiberty · 17/10/2014 22:58

Gaaaaahhh! us not 'use'!

ThatBloodyWoman · 17/10/2014 23:00

I went to a play group once.
Spent most of my time on my hands and knees mopping up from drinks spills and was unable to break into any conversations.
Never again.
