Wowthishurtsalot · 15/10/2014 21:09

The message was deleted for Hmm reasons

MinimalistMommi · 15/10/2014 21:18

I wonder what the Hmm reasons were?!

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 15/10/2014 21:19

Did she name her child Troll? Grin

Wowthishurtsalot · 15/10/2014 21:30

I think it was the fact she had 3, they all had gruff beards and lived under a bridge that gave it away

Minerves · 16/10/2014 00:42

I wondered same. it seemed fine last time I read it

Bettercallsaul1 · 16/10/2014 00:51

I have to say I did have my suspicions. I wasn't really surprised by the way it ended.

Minerves · 16/10/2014 00:51

how did it end?

Bettercallsaul1 · 16/10/2014 00:56

I didn't see the final few posts but I could see how it was heading... I don't know if there was any particular remark at the end which caused the deletion.

Bettercallsaul1 · 16/10/2014 00:58

Worra - I think she decided on Trollie and Tria as prettier variations.

SolidSnake · 16/10/2014 01:14

Recap? I missed it :(

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 16/10/2014 21:38

No one need miss it - it's back again in another guise.

arethereanyleftatall · 16/10/2014 22:00

Whilst we're chatting about this, where did that thread about cemetery parking/stopping go?

Delphiniumsblue · 16/10/2014 22:03

I was fascinated by Hmm reasons explanation.

Bluetone · 16/10/2014 22:28

Was that the Katrina one?

Weird thing to troll about, strange people.

CrashDiveOnMingoCity · 16/10/2014 22:52

I read it. I didn't think troll but I did think 'weird' but thought nothing more of it because there's nowt such strange as folk.

Alisvolatpropiis · 16/10/2014 22:59

The Katrina thread was hairy handed?

What an odd thing to troll about.

mathanxiety · 17/10/2014 05:39

It's back again?

S/he was fishing for comments on racism as far as I could see towards the end.

backbystealth · 17/10/2014 06:38

I thought it was slightly odd but I posted helpfully almost because it was odd and thought she might need some support iyswim? But I was a bit Hmm about her MIL being not very good looking!! Agree, nuts thing to troll about but there ya go...

SocialMediaAddict · 17/10/2014 10:07

Alarm bells went for me with the ugly MIL and not wanting to look Indian.

Bettercallsaul1 · 17/10/2014 10:25

It was done by drip feed. The tread started off very innocently - just about a little girl not liking her name - so there were lots of replies. Then the notion of the girl being different and ugly in her own eyes, because of her Indian genes, was introducedand basically a racist theme developed.

Trolls are much more subtle now - they know better than to lead with the point they're really trying to make and now introduce it gradually.

Bettercallsaul1 · 17/10/2014 10:27

Sorry, thread and introduced and.

MinimalistMommi · 17/10/2014 10:40

So weird that someone would bother to do that, I don't see the point. Mind you, the husband suggesting that the baby's name be given to the four year old was so utterly bizzare I should have realised then.

Bettercallsaul1 · 17/10/2014 11:02

No, but Trolls' minds do not work like ours and that is why they are sometimes so difficult to spot. They have a particular agenda they want to push and they enjoy the sense of power that results from starting a passionate argument amongst complete strangers. I'm getting much better at Troll-spotting now - even a year on MN has sharpened my instincts. Another giveaway on this thread were the extraordinary questions she was asking about her children - were they white or half-caste etc.
