Shouldn't meant that my 4s will no longer work!i have a theory that because 4g is out that they are making 3G unusable. Works fine on wifi at home but out and about it's useless ð??¡.
I'm more fuming as I've just had a payment in a shop declined but if my phone would of worked it would of been resolved straight away!

I don't agree they're phasing out 3G. There are so many phones that aren't 4G compatible (even new ones) that they'd really be doing themselves a disservice.

Maybe its just a part of town where the signal is shit?

Which network is it? We just spent the weekend in Oban I have the 5c DH has the 5s. Mine worked fine on EE. His was lucky to get GPRS most of the weekend on Vodafone.

EE the 3G is showing but nothing loads, it's very frustrating.

My 4S has just died, but I certainly noticed the slowing of 3g in the last 6 months. It became unusable. Not just me either - my friend with a 4 and DS also with a 4s. All different networks too

My 3G has been shit for the last few days too, I assumed it was because of the crappy weather.

I moved away from ee for that reason, network was becoming more and more patchy

Try resetting network settings and a hard reset. Might help?

Failing that have a look at Macrumours forum or Apple forums or hit it with a fucking hammer Apple shop.

Strange! Try popping into Apple and asking for a diagnostic to be ran on it? Its really quick they do some higery jiggery with your email and phone and an ipad and can tell you whats wrong.

3G is fine on my 4s and the DDs 5s's as far as I can tell.

But we live in the sticks, any signal is a blessing, 4G is about as likely as decent broad band.

Be glad you even get 3G!! W get nothing on Vodafone in NE Scotland. Utter pish, so fed up hearing how they're investing in 4g everywhere. How about some 3G first, please and thanks?

My 3G on EE is the same- upgrading to the 6 on Sat

I have the 5s and it's only signed up for 3G as not near a 4g area. It works ok but far fewer areas than my friend on O2. I'm with Vodafone they are rubbish.

My 4s is fine for 3G on O2.

My Facebook app has been trying to lay down and die recently (even at home) since iOS 8 was released/ which I haven't downloaded.

Ha... 2G signal round here would be nice. Forget 3G or 4G, I just want to be able to make a phone call!

Any sort of signal is non existence here in rural Herts. I managed to crack my 4s screen yesterday which is clearly a message from the Apple gods. I didn't want to upgrade yet
