DH thinks he's a better singer than he is & is currently warbling opera at full volume?

AIBU to find this slightly pretentious & really fucking annoying?

Am ranting on here as I'm aware I probably am and can't tell him to shut the fuck up.

YABVU my husband is a chav through and through. I would love him to warble opera. Especially in Italian Smile

Record him and play it back. That should get him to tone it down. ... Unless he's tone deaf?!?Grin

Is your husband called Dave? X

You should hear my rendition of 'Una voce poco fa' in the shower. I'd say Diana Damrau us shaking in her shoes...

See, I love to sing all kinds of songs and I can't sing to save my life.

My husband thinks I should sing more quietly, or in private, far away from him. I think he should learn to love it.

Get him a beltbox.

YABVU - it's lots of fun singing opera - especially when you can't.

Mozart: YABU.
Rossini: not too bad.
Verdi: bollocking required.
Puccini: LTB.

My DH has a special singing voice for Dire Straits tunes. He's adorable, and after a decade and a half I still love him and can't imagine ever feeling any other way....but his Dire Straits singing voice makes me want to commit murder. Give me operatic noises any day!

mineofuselessinformation · 03/10/2014 21:40

We need to know what he's singing to judge properly.... Grin
