I am feeling really pathetic about this because I just can't get Vodafone to listen to me. I upgraded my mobile phone 2 weeks ago. They sent the new phone without a SIM and since I'd got a much newer model, my old SIM doesn't fit. I then used live-chat to get a new SIM, they sent the wrong one. Tried again, got another wrong SIM. Went into the shop but having 3 month old twins couldn't queue for 30 minutes to be seen. Rang them and asked to return the phone and was hung up on after 20 minutes being passed round / on hold. Have put in a formal complaint which has been ignored and posted on their facebook page, was given a link which I followed and have again been ignored. I have no spare time at all at the moment and this is really annoying me. Does anyone have any ideas for how I get them to listen to me? Plus not having a mobile is very annoying when I'm doing hospital appointments etc.

Get in touch with their Data Protection Officer and ask about the procedure for submitting a Data Protection request - dropping your issue into the conversation. You probably won't even have to spend the £10 because that on its own should be enough to put the fear of God into them - if nothing else, it will have your issue dealt with by a human being who ought to be able to think 'off-script' and find out what's gone wrong.
