i had a work crisis today. i dont work on a thursday. i dealt with it as best i could then passed it over to someone who was working. have now been told by my boss "poor X has been dealing with that crisis all day". i feel so wound up by this comment as the implication in my view was that i should have been dealing with it.

That's not the implication, it's a statement of fact which you should ignore

no i did not cause the crisis. it was with a client of mine but not of my making.

got involved in first place cos i care too much and answered phone!

Well, if you didn't cause the crisis I can only assume your Boss was empathising with your co-worker and not 'getting at you' - unless he thinks you should work everyday? When you work part time you do come in for some of that kind of crap, you just have to remind them that you only get part time pay as well!
