WIBU to spend time and money collecting

all the Chalet School books for DD in no way just so I can read them all again myself ?!

I adored them when I was a kid. Burned through them quicker than my pocket money could handle and drove the lovely library lady mental getting her to order them in from all over the county. I really want to enjoy then with DD.

It's OK for me to spend both my soon to finish maternity pay and the time I should spend cleaning hunting them down and buying them all RIGHT NOW AS A MATTER OF URGENCY isn't it?

So as not to drip feed - PFB DD is 4 months old and, whilst obviously a child genius, is some way off reading. Or sitting up.

Course not, I've started already. PFB is due in January :)

I loved them as a child.

DD couldn't give a toss :(

YAnBu but... Your children may not love your fave childhood books :(

YANBU I have been picking out my old favourites for my PFB as my mum clears out her house. He will also have the delights of my Stephen King collection... But probably not for a couple of years (he is 4 months also!)
