To hate Scarlett Johannsen in He's Just Not That Into You

Ok so I don't buy into the whole men are MADE have an affair thing and can't resist temptation but seriously, is she every woman's nightmare in that film or what? Makes me shiver for women everywhere.

Just realised, while I'm watching it on tv, I'm in ireland so the majority of you are not..

Personally, I'd probably place a bit more blame on the married man, rather than the single woman.

Yeah me too Hipo. But not pleasant to have super hot young big boobed yoga instructing singing single girl lusting over your man. She's like temptation made female in that film.

As Hipho pointed out the married man is equally to blame. I really liked the scene when she dumps him after hiding in his office when his wife is there - and then his wife dumps him too !

As PP have said, the bloke is just as guilty but yeah, she made my skin crawl.

I always got something different from that part of the film (although the marriage/affair thing still clearly applies). I see a very unhappy marriage with both partners just going through the motions, and then he meets someone and the mutual attraction is just all-consuming. Doesn't the voice over at the end talk about being strong and true to your feelings and recognising when that person comes along who should have been 'The One'?

But I'm probably romanticising, and I only saw it once on a tiny plane screen through a haze of white wine, on my honeymoon where being with 'The One' was all-consuming for me!

I think it was the fact that he continually and believably lied about smoking, thus indicating that he couldn't be relied on to tell the truth about anything, including the affair and his feelings.

I think he was to blame as well but she was pretty relentless, even after he told her repeatedly that he was married and didn't want to take it further. I think it could have been avoided if she had cut her losses and walked away.

Although, it would probably have just delayed the inevitable. They were both pretty unhappy in the marriage.

Yeah I liked the fact that she left him because of an inability to tell the truth and trust issues rather than what she thought was a one off sexual encounter. And I do think, regardless of how secure you are in your relationship, having that 'character' (thank you rabid) blatantly offer herself to a man is going to cause some amount of temptation. It's just icky. Sometimes I don't like men in general. Or women.

Don't think any of those 3 characters come off that well really.

Don't agree with the whole "men can't resist temptation" thing. Dickheads like the Bradley Cooper character can't (or rather don't make the effort to) resist temptation.

Didn't the temptress get advised by one of the other girls (Drew?) to never give up an opportunity for true love.
