or should scaffolders fix tiles they have broken?

We've had scaffolding up and they broke some roof tiles, plus some vertical hanging tiles on our house. They are huffing and puffing about replacing them, its impossible to get through to anyone, although they have said they'll do it the first lot.

Problem is, they move one tower of scaffolding, and have broken even more. I sound like a broken record.

Does anyone have experience of this???

I would be bloody annoyed with them. The need to replace/fix the damage. Don't let it go.

No don't let it go. A cracked tile, if left unrepaired, can cause MAJOR problems.
A few good rainstorms and you'll have serious water damage to your loft space and even the ceilings below which can require fairly major building work / redecorating entire rooms.

Have you paid them yet? If not, do not until they have rectified the damage.
