to eat the jerky?

Had sod all sleep again and can't be arsed preparing something to satisfy my peckishness.

A friend left a sealed freezer bag of homemade jerky on the side yesterday and the cat has got to it in the night. There is a horizontal rip in the bag and some jerky on the side. I have binned that, but am loathe to chuck the rest as it is so tasty.

The rest of the jerky inside the bag will still be ok to eat surely?

Eat the jerky but sprinkle one or two bits on the floor and tell your friend that the cat must have eaten it.
It's partly true.

the jerky was left for me to eat, no need for my friend to ever know the cat got to it first. Little bastard.

Jerky's strips of dried beef, much loved in S.A.and the USA, can have other flavours added. Some I love, others not so much. Would love to know how to make my own, spect you'd need some sort of dehydrator? In SA it used to be air dried in the sun. Think the flies loved it tooShock
