Bathroom wallboards (instead of tiles)

Just coming to the end of a longed for bathroom re-fit but don't like the wallboards. They're a pattern that almost goes with the remaining tiles but not quite. My fault for chosing but the sample was very small (disclaimer). Other choices may have been better, but the shower and loo are now installed in front of the wallboard. I am trying so hard to like the pattern. Should I just forget about it?

I think after a while you will probably get used to it and it won't bother you.

I don't quite know what a wallboard is but if you do end up hating it maybe you could paint over it? I'd give it a chance though!

do you mean those wooden panels? can't you just paint them?
