To wonder if anyone can use roundabouts properly anymore?

Ok so I know many can, but really it seems that lately I am encountering more idiots on them.

Last week someone pulled out on me as I was going around and missed me by seconds.

I can't see how he could have possibly missed my bright red car.

It happened again today and I had to slam my breaks on and thankfully no one was behind me.

These aren't the only two incidents unfortunately. They really aren't that hard to use.

It is more of a problem on roundabouts. Definitely. It might be more drivers = greater number of idiots?
I also get frustrated by car drivers completely failing to understand how to act when there is a hazard on their side of the road. (Today's example was a driver coming towards me clearly was not going to wait behind the cyclist and forced me to stop whilst gesticulating wildly and offensively at the cyclist clearly thinking they were the problem Confused).

I've come to the conclusion that most people are idiots.

I think a huge part of the problem is the number of drivers who didn't pass their test in this country.

Lots of counties don't have roundabouts at all and people seem absolutely clueless about what to do at them.

It's getting the same for zebra crossings. where I live in London I would say it's 50/50 whether a car will stop for me at a zebra.

Indicating the way you are going on a roundabout seems to be an optional extra these days, I went through about 15 roundabouts today and I don't think I saw a single person indicating correctly. I need to polish my crystal ball for tomorrow so I know in advance which way they're going.

I wondered if some of it was that I am a new driver, passed almost 11 months ago and I wondered if some people get sloppier the longer they have been driving?

It was just stupid though, I couldn't be missed.

There's a roundabout in our town that I find absolutely terrifying. There is a long run up to it from 4 sides and people just don't seem to slow down at all, despite the fact that, due to buildings on the corners, they can't possibly see whether another car coming. Someone was killed on the roundabout a few years back when a car crashed into another one and sent it crashing into the wall of a shop. Even that hasn't stopped idiots from speeding across it though and I regularly see near misses and people needing to slam on brakes.
