Even though it's partially my own fault?

I went to Eason yesterday & asked the shop assistant to show me some address books.

She led me to a shelf & said all of those on the bottom shelf are address books.

They were wrapped in cellophane so I couldn't flick through them or anything.

There were various colours, lilac, green, cream/gold.

I chose a nice light cream/gold coloured book & took it to the till.

£3.99.

When I got home last night & sat down to transfer details from my old book, I removed the cellophane, took out the protective paper & saw it was a plain paged notebook, not in fact an address book.

I could've got a plain paged book for 99p if I so wanted!!

Now, I know I'm sort of being unreasonable & don't think I'd really return the book, but I feel cheated!

And now I still need an address book!!!!!

Definitely try. Ideally speak to the same sales assistant. Was the book labelled in any way, like a sticker on the cellophane? What does your receipt say?

You'd definitely have grounds to return it, but unless the time and travel costs are negligible, is it worth it? Could you use the note book for something else, or customise it so you can use it as an address book?

As it's a good one, I'd keep it in a drawer until I fancied Journalling and get a new address book Smile

Easons?? Are you in Ireland? What I'd give for a couple of hours browsing through Easons again... Grin. Take it back, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Yes, in Ireland.

I bought an address book yesterday for 99p.

Will keep the expensive book in my handbag for lists Grin
