You were doing better than me. I had no idea that it was to do with the referendum until last night when I saw it as a #tag connected to polling. I couldn't work out why there were suddenly all these thread about indy music and what could ever be so controversial/interesting Blush.
In my defence I have had a week that you wouldn't believe if I told you and am so tired I have lost track of what day it is. But still Blush

Yeah, I kept thinking it was an acronym and couldn't figure it out either until the other night when I googled it and saw someone in the comments spell it out for me.

Indy (Independent) ref (Referendum). indyref.

It's a terrible abbreviation. Shame on you internet. Shame.

It took me a few seconds to click the real meaning.

The first time I saw it was on MN, and I just assumed it was something to do with expensive schools.

I thought it must be 'rest of United Kingdom' but then I thought, no surely they wouldnt use such a crap acronym......
