Last week I ordered a willow 'twigwam' online from Primrose Garden centres for DS2's third birthday. All went through fine at checkout and they took my money but I got an email yesterday saying all their wicker play houses are out of stock until October and did I still want to go ahead? I do want to go ahead (the price is the best on the web but I'm wondering if it would be cheeky if I asked for a small discount (ie delivery charges) as their 3 day delivery promise is not being met.

There's no harm trying, the worst that can happen is they say no

Yay just got £5 knocked off - phew that was scary firms though I find asking for discounts really hard! :) :)
