So Saturday afternoon I ask my GF if she can drive me to the shop (local shop 10 minutes away, small village) to get some lagers to have while I watch the football on PC. Yes fine no problem. I ask her what she wants for lunch, I make her a lovely salad, garlic chicken is in the oven when there is a knock at the door. Her Niece and Sister. Ok no problem, a salad is hardly going to go cold.

They ask what we are having and invite themselves to join us. Spent the whole of the match cooking for others and entertaining and then going to MIL's.

We have only just moved into new place so have ridiculously small amount of cutlery - 3 forks! Which meant I didn't get to eat until someone had finished. By the time they had finished we had to go to MIL so didn't eat until 9pm.

GF didn't even apologise or acknowledge that I had had an afternoon planned. AIBU to be pissed off!?

Did she know how important this was to you? Or was the first mention of you watching the match when she had to drive you to the shop to get some beers? (why did you not walk btw?)

It was rude of them yes but could you not say to your GF that you had plans & would rather stay in than go to MIL's. Or say that you were going to have some lunch because you had to wait for the cutlery but you hope they would have a good time at MIL's & see them later?

You need a chat about communication with your GF OP. It depends whether she is ignoring your planned afternoon or whether you failed to communicate how important it was to you....
