We have 2 kids youngest is only 7 months old, I thought she would be our last as dh was adamant he wanted no more.
Over last few weeks he has completely changed his tune he said today if we are going to have another he wants to do it "before he is too old" ( he is only 34 ).
Now for the aibu part we currently stay in a two bedroom flat would it be bonkers to have another whilst living here ?
Wwyd ?
It took over 4 years to concieve dd2 so might not even happen anytime soon if at all.

The youngest is still so young! Give it another 6 months?

Hoppinggreen · 13/09/2014 20:55

Well it could also happen next week and you could have a newborn and a 16 month old in a 2 bedroom flat.
If you are ok with that then go ahead ( as long as it's what you want too)

That's my thinking 2 under two would be interesting.
I think I just have it in my head it will take years again. Maybe move first then see what happens .

Purely in terms of space we have had 3 dcs (6,4 and 2) in effectively a 2 bed house for the best part of 2 years and it's has been pretty sleepless and grim unrelaxing. Grin

My dcs have proven themselves to be problematic room sharers though, we have friends who have 3 in a similar 2 bed house who have never had a room sharing issue in their lives. Admittedly no 3 for them is a newborn but signs point to number of rooms just not being that relevant for them.

Personally I would get on have another and it over and done with. Easier to have young children sharing a bedroom than larger age gaps etc. We had 3 in in 3 years plus an older one, no regrets at all and as they get older it was a good decision.

As it took a long time to conceive I would also consider trying sooner rather than later.

HootOnTheBeach · 13/09/2014 21:16

It would be bonkers. I don't think people realise how much they need their space.

indyindie · 13/09/2014 21:40

The room sharing isn't too much of an issue as we would be aiming to find somewhere bigger before it became one iykwim .

Dd1 and 2 are great sleepers and could share no problem (dd2 is still in with us). Its a massive room they have and a smaller play room aswell.
Dd2 is a breeze which is probably only reason I'm considering it just now she is so easy.

I do want to get it over and done with in a way as it seems to make more sense financially aswell its such a tough decision if I try now it might not even happen but as someone said it could happen next week Confused

I thought I would take a while to conceive DC3. No, there are 54 weeks between DD2 and DS. Grin

I coped though just about.
