Obviously Iknow I am but, and this is a crazy pmt rant - I'm too old for spots,Something funny happens to my face it's like a weird swelling so I get indents under my eyes every fucking month. My belly resembles a half filled water balloon.Ive got cramps and know I will get a stinking headache as soon as the bleeding starts. My breasts hurt,I'm thirsty and irritable,I will also be constipated to fuck in two days time.Did I mention the bleeding the first days like the first day after giving birth I can't stand the fucking mess.Im afraid it will scare the children.I don't want to go on the pill I hated the mirena, and am single so don t need contraception.I just hate it and if I follow the course of the women in my family I've got another 15 years before they stop.then according to my mother will have a vag made of cobwebs and sand paper ffs.Quite a few of my friends have had hysterectomys and I think I'm jealous.I'm just off to eat some chocolate and destroy my diet which has been going so well until yesterday! Feel free to add your list so I'm not the only grumpy bitch this month.

I've always said I wish there was a way to switch off the mess when you're done sprogging. Mine only last 3 days but the older I get the more painful and gushy they are that first day.. I don't even like standing up. Although lovely husband always pops a sneaky box of malteesers in the fridge when it's coming Grin

Pumpkin seeds are better than chocolate apparently though according to another thread ?? runs ?? Grin

Hi OP, you didn't mention it so I thought I'd recommend an implant, as I have one in my arm. (Warning: TMI background info ahead! - but important for contrast later on.)

My periods have always been utterly horrendous. As well as getting horrible skin, rage/tears/rage hormones, nausea, very sore boobs, stabbing pains, and what I call "football belly", my flow was more of a tide. Periods usually lasted 9 or 10 days, with 4 or 5 of them being really, really heavy and constantly stressing about leaks (a very real threat!). I'd become anaemic and get dizzy. Several times I had periods that lasted for 3 weeks or more, and then started again a fortnight later. Generally I had two weeks on, two weeks off. Ugh.

I actually had the implant fitted because of all of the above, and not for contraceptive purposes. I was single at the time of fitting it, but I went to my local family planning clinic and told them that I'd started seeing someone. (...and I did, a few months later!)

I LOVE MY IMPLANT. I have light periods maybe 3 times a year, a week or so long, with only mild pain and the odd spot on my chin, and all of my previously-mentioned extras don't happen anymore. I had my second fitted last year, after the old one expired, and I think I've found my period solution/contraception method for life - I'm never going back! Send me a message if you want to ask me anything about insertion, side effects, healing process, etc.
