I hope people also remember to donate - not just money, not everyone can afford that - but old blankets, a can of dog food, newspapers, and time (dogwalking, kennel cleaning, fundraising, special skills in law or accounts etc) to the rescues who will be taking on the surviving dogs and the stray dogs which would normally be sent to Manchester Dogs Home from their enormous council catchment area but which will as of tonight need somewhere else to go.
Those places will probably need the help, especially if they're taking on dogs affected by the tragedy and in need of vet care, even more than Manchester will. They'll be the ones taking on the vet bills and the extra work and will be desperate for any assistance they can get.
