I see people walking along and even cycling reading their phones or tablets.

I have seen the kind of injury that can be sustained just from walking into a lamppost- cuts, broken noses, black eyes and the like and it could be so much worse.

So easy to avoid.

Thanks mum.

I nearly got run over twice in quick succession today - 2 cyclists who we're texting while riding! No need.

Nulliferous · 09/09/2014 20:00

Not to mention the drivers who do the same.

hugoagogo · 09/09/2014 20:03

Nick switch off that ipad and get to sleep! Grin

Don't get me started on drivers.

I do walk along occasionally looking at my phone... Usually blissfully after dropping dd at pre school on a Monday morning. I am not ashamed but do realise any injuries are my own fault!

CheesyBadger · 09/09/2014 20:29

I wouldn't do it on a bike or whilst driving though!

I hate seeing people looking at their phones while walking. They generally don't look where they are going and expect others to move out if their way. So rude.

gamerchick · 09/09/2014 21:17

Heh have you noticed everybody's got the same expression on their faces? It's the zombie apocalypse Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/09/2014 21:25

IlklyMoor that is my Number One Pet Hate.
If I see someone walking along staring at their screen , I keep walking straight, The look of horror on their silly faces as they suddenly see another pedestrian .
If I'm feeling vitriolic , I might add a "Look where you're (fucking well) going"

It is anti social and rude to expect everyone else to look out for them. What's on the screen that is so important? "Left ,right, left, right. Breathe in, breathe out" Hmm

My ambition is for someone to drop their stupid phone and shatter it.

And my DC know not to wander about screen scanning. Even indoors.

A woman walked into me about six months ago while looking at her phone. She did drop it and had a go at me. Unfortunately it was a blackberry and didn't break.

I do that as well. Grin

I was almost mown down in Disneyland Paris last month by 2 very lanky teenage boys looking at their phones. There was only a mm between them and by the time I realised they were in front of me I simply readied myself for the inevitable.

Their faces were ????

I did not care. Grin
