cryside there is a status quo of the UK. Of course governments and policies change. Trotting out the " oh but everything might change " line as an argument is very silly. For goodness sake I was a teenager when Wilson and Heath were in power.
What you are suggesting is not comparable to a change of government. There is no going back. As far as I'm concerned you are destroying my country for no good reason.
