Wanting to be respectful

Posting for traffic as no responses on other board.

I am going to a funeral next week and whilst the person that has died is white british their partner is malaysian.
The funeral is a typical english affair but as we are going to the house I wondered if i should take anything that would show respect to the partner.

Can anyone help?

Thank you

I don't know anything about malaysian traditions.

All the funerals I have attended have been for white british people - and I haven't ever taken anything along.

Just mail a card in advance - not taken to the funeral. Flowers for the service if you want, unless the deceased didn't want any.
