About my cream cakes

Why must the box of cream cakes be placed in the carrier face down? Again. I only had one item.

You can mess up my lasagne but just take care with the cakes!

Or AIBU?

(Don't worry, I licked the cream and icing off the inside of the box.)

Pack the bag yourself?

SomethingOnce · 08/09/2014 17:57

They're too quick - it's scanned and in the bag before you can say 'jam doughnut'!

Which store? Name and shame!!

Andrewofgg · 08/09/2014 17:59

Enjoy them anyway. Don't forget to pass them through the decaloriser first.

SomethingOnce · 08/09/2014 18:02

I find eating them with my head sort of next to the open fridge door decalorises them effectively.

Like cupboard chocolate.

If it's happened before you really should have been poised to snatch them before they headed towards the bag...

SomethingOnce · 08/09/2014 18:04

Aw, I can't name and shame because the staff are lovely and helpful. It's only their carelessness in this area that lets them down Smile

Really? That shows a distinct lack of cream cake respect. The heathens!!!

TalcumPowder · 08/09/2014 18:04

This is a most disappointing thread. I thought it was going to be about how Mavis down the WI had a go at you about the order in which the jam and cream are applied to butterfly cakes. Now there's a real issue...

PureMorning · 08/09/2014 18:05

Self scan then you can be the only one touching the box

SomethingOnce · 08/09/2014 18:06

My English awkwardness inhibits me from going for an interception strategy.

Talcum....JAM IN A BUTTERFLY CAKE?

faints

DoJo · 08/09/2014 19:39

Is the bar code on the bottom? I reckon a bit of surreptitious sticker repositioning could resolve this issue for tomorrow next time...

SomethingOnce · 08/09/2014 20:10

I've just checked in the recycling where I hid the evidence of having eaten all four cakes and the bar code is on the bottom, although I'm pretty sure the scanner scans from underneath.

I'll observe more closely next time.
