The house over the road (we can see side on into the garden) is in darkness with the back door open and their dog has been barking in the garden for the last hour and half!
AIBU to think they may have been broken into?

Call 101.

marne2 · 05/09/2014 21:28

I would call 101, hopefully the dog has just managed to open the back door and is randomly barking.

PartyFops · 05/09/2014 21:28

Yes call 101

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 05/09/2014 21:30

Possibly. Maybe they've just left the door open for the dog. Still, only two ways to find out and calling the police is the safest!

Charlilou490 · 05/09/2014 21:31

We have, they're trying to work out what's going on, just seems weird!

Any news?
Is it a it iffy to pop over there and knock on the door? If they answer you could just explain that you were wondering if they were ok.

Charlilou490 · 06/09/2014 07:39

They both thought each other had got the dog in and locked up, but neither had, that's why the doors were open, so alls ok!

As their dog had been barking for an hour and a half you'd think one of them would have gone to see what it was barking about wouldn't you? Confused

Vitalstatistix · 06/09/2014 11:23

How, if they were out?

Gruntfuttock · 06/09/2014 11:25

I didn't think they were out, I thought they'd gone to bed and each thought the other one had got the dog in and locked up.

Gruntfuttock · 06/09/2014 11:27

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to the time that the OP posted. I suppose at that time they'd gone out, not gone to bed. Blush

Vitalstatistix · 06/09/2014 12:06

No, don't say sorry Grin it might very well be me who's read it completely wrong Grin I read it that they had gone out, each thinking the other had dealt with it and I assumed that partly because I thought they couldn't possibly have heard barking for all that time and not gone to investigate. Maybe they were having a special Wink early night Grin

Vitalstatistix · 06/09/2014 12:07

oh good god. I vomited emoticons again.

now THAT requires apologies.

sorry.

Lifesalemon · 06/09/2014 12:47

I like emoticons. It makes the page look pretty. Smile Flowers Grin

Vitalstatistix · 06/09/2014 12:52

Watch it. You'll get a strongly worded PM from them upstairs, warning you not to encourage me. Grin
