To not take the DC out this afternoon?

DS is in pre-school this morning (830-1200) and I have take DD out into town (10 min bus trip, 20 min walk at toddler pace) to do the weekend shop. Yesterday, after pre-school, I took them to the outdoor swimming pool where we had arranged to meet four other families. None of them showed up and none messages to say they wouldn't be there except one who messaged at 345, when we had to leave at 4. One has replied today to say they didn't make it and would "probably" be going today.

I have no great desire to trek all the way to the pool again today, even though it is a nice day. DS is quite tired and we have an action packed weekend planned. But, he has been asking to play with this boy for ages now. I have things I could do at home, like cleaning and washing. Would I be an ultra mean mum for just taking them on a short walk this afternoon (to the recycling area and back), maybe 20 minutes or so and then let them play at home and put the paddling pool up for them?

Am I being unreasonable in choosing the option which is more convenient for me?

YANBU at all, sometimes you have to prioritise yourself and things you need to get done. They're going to have a busy weekend, let them have a quiet afternoon while you get things done.

No, YANBU. You have needs too and yesterday was about DCs. Plus the other mum might not turn up again!
