I apparently have been overpaid, but I'm pretty sure I, er, haven't been.

Used to have a joint claim, broke up with boyfriend and then made a new claim, they cancelled the old one straight away and I had to wait for my new claim to go through.
This was all pretty recent so I didn't have to renew the new claim this year, but did the old one anyway because I wasn't sure if I should or not, and now apparently I've been overpaid nearly £600, because for some random 2-month period apparently my claim was wrong, even though I told them everything as and when it happened.
Old claim was cancelled straight away so no overpayment there, new claim is pretty easy to be right as I'm not working atm so nothing to get wrong. It's stressing me out, I know it's not a MASSIVE amount, but I'm living in homeless accommodation, could be moved any day now and I really don't have a spare £600 about and if I did, i'd need it for a cooker/fridge/washing machine.

I already have debt (that actually makes sense to me and is my fault) I really do not need anymore. What happensse I cancelled it months ago..) I just can't make sense of it :/

  • last bit went a bit weird, was ,meant to say, they've threatened to stop the joint claim (which they already have stopped, because I cancelled it months ago) and what happens if I just ignore the letter
