Don't open in front of children.

I think it looks repulsive, but would give it a go.

I must be missing something because it looks like a normal iced Danish to me so yes.

ICanSeeTheSun · 02/09/2014 14:09

Ohhh. That one's nasty. Don't think even a cake fiend like me could stomach that

17leftfeet · 02/09/2014 14:16

Is that supposed to be someone's belly complete with piercing?

Dd wants a horror cake for her birthday so I'm currently thinking of ideas

17leftfeet · 02/09/2014 14:17

That wedding cake is fantastic!

zukiecat · 02/09/2014 14:23

Good job I'm not fond of any type of cake because both examples look absolutely vile!

The wedding cake one is just horrible and nasty.

SourSweets · 02/09/2014 16:45

Oooh. I don't think I could. But I am pregnant and very queasy Envy

ICanSeeTheSun · 02/09/2014 16:46

I find it amazing what can be done with cake these days.

I love cake, or used to before starting a diet.
I wouldn't eat that, it just doesn't appeal to me.

maras2 · 02/09/2014 18:33

Not big,not funny,not clever.Sick fuckers.

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 02/09/2014 19:10

Yes.

I haven't even read the OP. You asked if I would eat cake and the answer is always yes.

MrsWinnibago · 02/09/2014 19:13

NO. I hate cake that looks SO mauled! ALL modeled cake looks mauled. YUK.

HappyAgainOneDay · 02/09/2014 19:15

The first one just looks like cheese on toast with tomato sauce underneath. Not a very good production to publicise a film or whatever it's supposed to be publicising.

LividofLondon · 02/09/2014 20:50

How on earth did they make those severed heads!?Confused I'd love to see a cross section of it too to see what's inside. I'd eat it, but only if it was sponge as I hate fruit cake.

SirChenjin · 02/09/2014 20:53

Absolutely. There is nothing you could do to a cake to put me off eating off (well, smeared bodily fluids aside obv)

MaureenMLove · 02/09/2014 20:59

In the interest of making scarey cakes, not quite so scarey, here's one I made earlier! Grin

Would you eat this cake
SirChenjin · 02/09/2014 21:01

That is brilliant Maureen! I'm so jealous of people who can create fantastic cakes - my cake decorating doesn't extend beyond chocolate buttercream and smarties Sad

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 02/09/2014 21:02

They look as though they involve a lot of fondant/sugarpaste, so I probably wouldn't eat them as that doesn't taste good.

Scholes34 · 02/09/2014 22:27

Maureen - snap. Hurrah for Debbie Brown!

ICanSeeTheSun · 02/09/2014 22:33

I can't even do a butter cream and smarties.

Maureen that's amazing.

OP posts:
Bulbasaur · 02/09/2014 22:35

MaureenMLove I'd eat that!

Things that look like body parts, eh.. depend on how the cake tasted. If it was good cake I could get past it. But generally, imho, fondant isn't the most appetizing thing to eat. I'm not sure I could get past the fact that it looked like a real person.

I can however, admire the artistic quality of those cakes and understand the hard work that went into them. I'm just not sure I'd eat it.

Too far in the uncanny valley.

Livedoflondon I found a YouTube video of the severed head cake and it was sponge.
