Tesco Enchilada Cheese Travesty

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 26/08/2014 19:21

Dh feels he is being misold his Enchildas.

The image on the packet shows them covered in a light but definite smothering of cheese.

Dh wishes to know how this is going to be achieved with the amount of cheese they have put on.

He feels he shouldn't have to use his own supply of cheese to obtain the enchilda that Tesco claim to supply within the packet.

Are Tesco being unreasonable cheese withholding asshats?

Or is dh a unreasonable cheeseyfucker who should damn well accept that amount of cheese as having been deemed adaquate by Tesco, and just eat them as they are, and stop lamenting?

I think your DH should write a strong letter of complaint to somebody who cares, then eat his darn dinner.

Cheese withholding asshat is a great insult

LadyLuck10 · 26/08/2014 19:27

Try the Daily Mail. His sad face while holding the enchilada.

strawberryangel · 26/08/2014 19:27

Write a letter! You'll get a voucher and can use it to buy more cheese!

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 26/08/2014 19:29

Dinner's cooking now.

I'm in charge of complaining to companies. Ever since he purchased a limited edition bottle of Frjj and then phoned them up and asked the poor lady on the other end of the phone whatever had he done to them to "deserve drinking what ever it that you have put in this bottle. Why, why would you do this to me?" Grin

He should have got Marks and Spencers enchildas, they are lovely, and cheesy.

MrsWinnibago · 26/08/2014 19:31

I think it's a combo of Asshattery and Cheesyfuckery.

They because the cheese on the pack is definitely more generous than that within the pack and DH because how hard is it to grate some extra?

SmashleyHop · 26/08/2014 19:31

As an American, I am appalled at that pitfall amount of cheese. Complain!!

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 26/08/2014 19:31

Good point Coco, I've just said to dh "why didn't you get the M&S ones which are nice"

He replied "because I went to Tesco"

I can't argue with that

Should have got Costco enchiladas - they are enorme and tres cheesey.

katrina81 · 26/08/2014 19:32

I had a Tesco three cheese pizza the other day with hardly any cheese on it. Definitely a cheese conspiracy going on at Mr T.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 26/08/2014 19:32

What Frijj flavor was it.

Also, that is a crap amount of cheese.

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 26/08/2014 19:33

We have ready grated cheese

But his point is that he is having to use HIS cheese to make up Tescos cheese failure.

YANBU Tesco are cheese scrimpers.

Its false advertising, its criminal.

Report them to Advertising Standards.

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 26/08/2014 19:33

It was Popcorn flavour Frjj, so really he only had himself to blame.

OP posts:
scarletforya · 26/08/2014 19:33

A serious dearth of cheesiness there. I would not be happy.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 26/08/2014 19:35

ewwwwww, what was he thinking?

AnimalsAreMyFriends · 26/08/2014 19:36

Post the picture on their FB page with a "disappointed" message.

I did it about a pizza I brought from Morrisons (obviously I didn't post it on Tesco's FB!!!! Grin ) Their customer service messaged me directly & sent me a load of vouchers!!!

flummoxedlummox · 26/08/2014 19:37

A stern letter to the big cheese at Tesco is called for. CEO Cheese Executive Officer

CurlyBlueberry · 26/08/2014 19:38

He is NBU. That amount of cheese is pathetic!

Yes yes, he could grate some more, but for all Tesco know the meal has been bought by someone with arthritis or something who would find it very difficult to grate more cheese. Therefore, IMO, they are being unreasonable.

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 26/08/2014 19:38

I've already complained to Tesco last week. Maybe Tesco just hate us.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 26/08/2014 19:44

HINBU. But then given that Tesco cheat* customers, staff and suppliers equally, hardly unexpected.

*Obviously, this would only be at gin rummy, not in a business sense. I would never suggest otherwise given their lawyers.

coffeeinbed · 26/08/2014 19:48

The images on the box are "Serving suggestions" which is a way of saying what you see is not what you get.
