To think that my ring should fit??

Ok so got engagement ring, perfect ring but I.5 sizes to small. Went to 3 different jewellers and they all said it should go on easy enough but be hard to take off.

They all sized the ring & my finger at 1.5 sizes bigger. So off I go today to collect ring, now I was racing there and was a bit clammy and hot by time I got there. Tried on ring & it felt a bit tight but was aware I was got and therefore fingers a bit chubbier. Anyway am back at work now, cool and relaxed and it's still friggin tight!! What will I do?? Try it

Agh sorry on iPhone. Anyway will I wait till I cool down, give it a few days, see if it settles or what?? Anyone experience similar? I am thin but have fat fingers. And a fat finger muffin top.

Was the ring sized up for you by the jewellers. Rings should be made to your correct size, and this can be done with a lot of styles but not all. Go back to where you bought it and have it sized correctly if the stone fitting will take it and there is enough gold in the band.

Your finger will shrink over time where constricted by the ring.

I would give it a few days, and experiment with getting it off with your hands in cool water, lotions, etc.

My ring is tight and will come off with a struggle if my hands are cold, if they are warm then it won't. But I like it like that- I know it won't come off accidentally, and if I'm warm and need to remove it I plunge my hand in cold water and then I can wriggle it free.

I had this problem when I got my engagement ring. It just felt tight and I was constantly aware of it being so. People said i would get used to it but i didnt. I took it back and they adjusted it up half a size and it feels perfect now.

Mine was like that - just leave it, your finger will get used to it and it wont ever fall off.

Ok I have it on now feels tight but better. I'm thinking the fact Iv never worn a ring on that finger before is probably adding to the feeling. Hope my finger will get used to it.

Take it back and get them to go up a size again. I had to do this as I'm miss sausage fingers. People said "you'll get used to it" but frankly , I wanted it perfect NOW, especially given DH shelled out 5 figures on it.

Remember that if you are going to wear your engagement ring with your wedding ring then the engagement ring goes on top ie the wedding ring goes nearest to your knuckle. You will get used to it where it is but will you be able to cope with it higher on your finger?
