School Milk for Yr3

Gruntled · 23/08/2014 20:00

I have paid for school milk (up until now) and DD moves up to Yr3 next month.
School milk company bombarding me with emails and now text messages about sending my payment for this year.
Do Yr3 have milk or will she be the only one? We have a milky breakfast every morning and milk at other times so she's not going short on calcium.
Will I be pointed at "that's the one... Didn't sign up for milk!"?

Mine have never had it. Unnecessary IMO.

I've worked in loads of schools as supply and I don't think I've ever come across children above yr 2 having milk. To be honest once it stops being free almost all stop.

I work in a school and have never come across anyone in yr2 or yr3 still having milk so I wouldn't bother signing up again x

My daughter is just going into yr 4 and never had milk in yr 3.

I wouldn't worry, if it's the same one as we had. Ours move school between infants and juniors, and the juniors doesn't offer it. We still got bombarded with emails. I think we were still getting them a year laters saying "you've forgotten to sign your dc up to school milk, and haven't told us which class they're in..."

I'm a y3 teacher. In the first term 10 children had milk. In the last term it was just 2. Quite a lot of it was wasted to be honest as they wouldn't drink it.

Thanks for your replies. The company seem pretty desperate for me to pay up but she is happy with water and I am not feeling too guilty about not signing up again.X
