Not sure where to post this, so this seemed a good a place as any.
My DS is 9 and like a lot of boys of that age have heard people swear, but he doesn't do it himself. I'm not naive enough to think he won't hear people swearing.
Anyway, 1 particular boy, who he goes to football training with has a bit of a reputation for swearing. Last week my DS said that he had tackled this lad and he called him a f@@king idiot. I told my DS to just ignore.
Yesterday, they were both together as some of the local childminders had hired the church hall. There is a grass area at the front where the boys can play football. Anyway, DS told me that he had tackled this lad and got the ball off him and he called my DS a f@&king Tw@t.
Now call me old fashioned , but I really don't think that language is acceptable, especially for a 9 year old.
I told the CM what happened, just so she can be aware in the future and I will be bumping into his Mum at training tonight.
Should I mention it to her? Not really sure how to tackle this, as no one likes to hear bad about their own children. 100% sure that DS is telling the truth - he tells tales on himself, he is that honest.
