If you have an issue that could very well be resolved by speaking up but you just won't, stop bloody moaning!

The solution is in your hands open your mouth and sort it out!

Errm, ok then, will do.....

PinkyHasNoEars · 18/08/2014 19:24

Anything particular on your mind here?

ThatBloodyWoman · 18/08/2014 19:25

But a good old moan is really satisfying.

Vitalstatistix · 18/08/2014 19:38

yes. It's true that that is what people need to do.

if only people didn't lack confidence, feel afraid of consequence, feel unsure what to say, etc etc, then they'd always do exactly what needs to be done in a calm and assertive manner.

Everyone knows what they need to do, but people are sometimes scared to do what they need to do. But they still want to talk about it cos they feel bad.

Tikimon · 18/08/2014 19:38

Problem is, not everyone is a good communicator.

LittleRedDinosaur · 18/08/2014 19:41

Agree to some extent but off loading about a situation to avoid a big row and the repercussions from that is surely ok? Repeatedly going on about a situation and not addressing it is annoying.

voluptuagoodshag · 18/08/2014 19:43

Agree. Moaning is only when you've tried all other avenues and still can't change the problem. I find it draining. Then when I offer a 'why not try such and such? ' oh no I could never do that.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 18/08/2014 19:47

Are you referring to posters having a vent in here rather than speaking to the protagonist pissing them off?

Or something else?

LapsedTwentysomething · 18/08/2014 19:47

Tbh this is what I tend to do but I wouldn't consider myself very popular as a result!

DorothyBastard · 18/08/2014 19:49

Ironic, no? Grin

BitchyVstheUFOs · 18/08/2014 19:50

Unlabelled can i add if you have repeatedly asked for and been given advice but chose not to follow it continuing to complain and cry about the same situation is not going to get you more sympathy. Just eye rolling and the phrase lie in the bed you make. either it is bad enough for you to want to do something or not.

Unlabelled · 18/08/2014 19:51

Sorry should have clarified, I mean the incessant moaning about he same thing, not the I've had a shit day kind.
