To think I won't ruin my dry clean only trouser?

I have a pair of suit trousers from Banana Republic which I wear for work and I can't keep taking them to dry cleaners (it's v expensive!!). Do you think it's stupid to hand wash them in warm water with woollen/hand wash detergent?

I would put them in a woollens wash in the machine if they contain wool. it's easy to shrink wool with a temperature shock and they will be safer in the machine.

They'll almost certainly machine wash on Wool with silk and wool detergent. DH suit ones do.
