"CHARITIES" at the front door. Why hasn't the "GOVERNMENT" stopped it?!

This sort of disgusting "canvassing" by so called charities is as bad as door to door selling, if not worse. When they call at my door, I simply tell them that just by knocking and disturbing me, they have just eliminated themselves from the chance of any possible future donation because they have now become ANYTHING BUT a charity... THEY'RE BEGGING!!!
Unless I've been sadly mistaken all these years, I always thought true charity was something you did/gave of your own free will, of your own accord, out of the goodness of your own heart, and voluntarily at that.
Take IDS forcing people into so called "jobs" in charity shops earning of course... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. That's not a "JOB" FFS!!!! And neither is it in any way a form of charity.

And in case charities hadn't noticed, people and families are suffering terribly (not least financially) at the hands of the filthy bunch currently in Westminster, who at the bottom of it, do not give a FLYING FUCK about this country at all, as they so claim. And that goes for ALL political parties. Their only interest is in lining their own pockets for 5yrs and fiddling their so called "expenses" for things like duck houses! Just look at how many have been caught... or rather, grassed up!!

Successive governments themselves are rapidly becoming "charities".
THEY'LL TAX THE FUCKING PANTS OFF YOU IN ANY WAY THEY CAN AND VERY SOON (NHS will go and they'll STILL charge you NI contributions) THEY WILL GIVE YOU ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN RETURN WHATSOEVER.

Either get a "no cold callers" stick for your door or agree with your neighbours to turn your area into a Cold Caller Control Zone

rallytog1 · 12/08/2014 21:07

Wowsers.

You do realise that the reason so many charities need to "beg" is because the decisions made by this government have caused increasing levels of hardship for families across the country, which charities need to step in and do something about?

I think you need a Biscuit m'dear

Icimoi · 12/08/2014 21:39

Out of interest, which charities are you currently supporting, OP?

TouchPauseEngage · 12/08/2014 21:44

I clicked on this with the intention of explaining why charities do this (ex fundraising manager) but I read the op and don't think it will make any difference!
