To ask for help deciding Deck or Yacht Restaurant at Butlins Skegness

We are off to Skegness Butlins on 15th September for the Just For Tots week (mainly for my 2 yo to see Angelina Ballerina). We have had the gold premium dining plan. We have been asked if we would like to eat in the Deck or the Yacht restaurant and I don't know which one would suit us best. Do they both serve the same food? Do they both have the Annabel Karmel meals for the little ones? Is one busier than the other?

Has anyone got any recommendations (besides don't go as a few of my friends have helpfully said LOL) We have a 2YO and a 5 month old. I am going with my mum as my husband has to work. We have had a tough year and just need a little break.

Any other tips to make our break a success. Thanks

They are practically the same from what I can remember but I think the deck is bigger and has a couple of extras like the grill. They both do the children's meals. I'd go for the deck. We didn't get a choice and have been in both.

Oh and have fun! Your 2 year old will love it! Characters, disco, rides and a great splash pool!

We took DS last year and had a great time. We ate in the Deck I think. The food and surroundings were both lovely & the children's characters would walk around the restaurant at mealtimes which DS loved. Lots of choice and the food was of a decent standard given it was mass produced.
I don't remember being given the choice of which restaurant. I think they just placed us in the one closest to our accommodation. The Deck is within the central canopy thingy IIRC. I think the yacht club was near the pool. Both fairly central though.

Ask for the one nearest your accommodation. It's a proper ballache to have to drag your children through the skyline pavillion in order to make it in time for breakfast! They both serve the same gold premium food.

Ok, thanks

They are both in the skyline next to one another. The yacht club is smaller and more persinal.

I preferred the deck restaurant as there was a few more food options that weren't available in the yacht club.

One is bigger and has a tiny bit more choice (yacht I think) where they do made to order grill items but we found the queues longer in there and preferred the Deck. You have to go into the Yacht for the toilets even if you eat in the Deck. Both good though, with enough choice.
Have a lovely time, it's not everyone's cup of tea but for kids it's fab. (even some of the night shows are pretty good)
Oh, also if I remember rightly, there is a small nursery play building at the back that everyone forgets in favour of the rides etc but it's ideal for your age group.

Blush might have got deck and yacht wrong way round!

We went in the deck restaurant and it was bigger and didn't seem as formal as the yacht. When we went it was more couples in the yacht so didn't want to have to try and keep my 3 year old super quiet. The deck was more relaxed and more family friendly. Also had the grill which they said the yacht didn't.

You're allowed to eat in either of them now rather than being restricted to one or the other (even though the booking form still asks which one you want!). So no matter which one you pick your welcome pack on arrival will say "Yatch and Deck", you just go to whichever one you fancy for that particular meal :)

We've just got back from butlins skegness and had premium dining.
Both restaurants are in the skyline pavilion ( or tent as my dc call it)
And you can choose from either.
The deck wins hands down. It's bright and airy, much bigger and has a lot more choice, ie a pasta station/ grill to cook chicken/burgers to order/ pancakes and omelettes to order.
The yacht club imo is better suited to families with older/no dc.
Enjoy, you will have a brilliant time.
My dc are 11 yr old ds and 3 yr old dd and its the one place that caters well for both ages.
One tip though, take drinks and snacks for your apartment and for inbetween meals, we found we didn't need lunch as the breakfasts were so filling but drinks were expensive.
I also agree to get a locker ( big family one) at splash waterworld and keep it for the duration, I will be doing that next time:)
